INNOVATION

“I believe that we can transform the mining industry with unconventional and dynamic partnerships to dramatically accelerate innovation objectives, and foster a greater connection with the next generation of mining. What’s best today can lead to dead ends, the best paths are new and untried.”

SUSTAINABILITY

“The Mining Industry needs to be more transparent about their sustainability practices. A systematic approach ensures that strategy and values are addressed through meaningful actions, and not by the reporting standard of the day.”

 DIVERSITY

“The business case for gender equity and diversity has been made repeatedly and irrefutably by now.  The mining industry has the opportunity to accelerate progress on all indicators and to truly lead and innovate by inviting, including and equipping women to lead in all functional areas of the business. This is perhaps the biggest lever for change we have and the companies that embrace it will quickly leave the rest behind.”

This land is the traditional territory of many nations including the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples and is now home to many diverse First Nations, Inuit and Métis. We also acknowledge that Toronto is covered by Treaty 13 with the Mississaugas of the Credit.

We are grateful to these nations for sharing their land with us. We acknowledge the many injustices and pain suffered by all first nations people both historically and present day. We recognize that there is much work to be done to correct these egregious wrongs before genuine reconciliation is possible.
