Artemis Project Member and Extractive Metallurgist Engineer and Innovation Manager at I&M, Vilma Magnata Abarzúa, leads a successful career in the mining industry.

The 2017 Copper Super-cycle has been one of the most difficult times for her company. However, perseverance, decision-making, and working in multidisciplinary teams are the key definitions that led her to be recognized as an Outstanding Woman in her region, due to her contribution to innovation. Vilma believes in leveraging the female perspective to advance the progression of the country and as a way to diminish competition, ambition, and violence.  

Vilma knows that her life purpose is to establish I&M as an innovation company that contributes to circular mining and protecting our planet, and to contribute to the professional path of girls, and female entrepreneurs.
