ekolive is the first and leading provider of a new ecological bioleaching method (InnoBioTech™) for the ecological release of elements and the degradation of organic contaminants.

With this innovative biological technology, ekolive solves environmental hazards and cleans contaminated sites that are polluted with heavy metals and / or toxic substances – giving various industrial waste a second life, replacing dangerous mining and processing methods, and removing metals from industrial minerals in an ecological and economic way with consecutive production of biofertilizer and biostimulants, increasing yield and growth of plants (by 100%) and replacing chemical pesticides.

APPROACH

Based on the mineralogical and chemical composition of customer´s materials, ekolive develops the most suitable bioleaching / bioremediation / biofertilization ex-situ / in-situ strategy for specific customers’ needs to:

WHY US?

ekolive is a dedicated team of experienced biotechnologists, geologists, and business developers.

Bioleaching has been widespread for 50 years but has so far only been used to extract copper and gold from sulfidic ores. Currently around 5% of the world’s gold supply and 20% of copper are extracted from biomining. However, all these applications use autotrophic bacteria producing sulphuric acid and a PH of 2, which is environmentally hazardous.

ekolive uses the second group – heterotrophs.  Heterotrophs produce harmless organic acids while operating at PH between 4-7. There is no negative impact on the environment, and it is highly beneficial to agriculture.
