Inspired by her female mining experience, creator and founder Alicia Woods caught herself wondering why, with so many women joining unconventional careers, did they wear garments designed for amale’s body type? The reason was simple – they didn’t have a choice. There were no coveralls for women available on the market. This is where the idea for Covergalls Workwear was born. With unique features like a rear trap door for easier bathroom breaks and tailored safety fit, there finally – is a garment designed by women and for women working in the industrial sector. As Covergalls grew, we realized the market went far beyond mining. Women across, all different continents, faced the challenges of men’s workwear. The Covergall is the next step for industries, taking workplace diversity to workplace inclusion. Covergalls has evolved to be so much more than a workwear company.

Covergalls Workwear is designed to work with you and not against you. Our gear improves functionality from top to bottom, to ensure a safer, inclusive and more enjoyable work experience for women working in industrial roles. Our company acts as a leader in advocacy, education and safety for organizations, companies and industries globally!

Beyond Gear – Covergalls began by finding a gap. A gap for women within the industrial sector for safer, healthier workwear. As we evolved, we realized how big that gap was. We are now going beyond gear, to better support the industry, companies and people through collaborative consulting.

Passionate about being a part of the change by sharing her journey and wanting to support innovation in the mining sector through equipment design and fresh ideas on tackling diversity and inclusion; Alicia is focused on inspiring and engaging audiences through speaking engagements.

Alicia Woods is the founder and CEO of Covergalls Workwear, an Independent Consultant & Speaker. She’s a strong advocate in encouraging more young women to consider a career in the industry.

Covergalls Workwear was established in 2013and launched to the market on CBC’s Dragon’s Den in 2014. Covergalls is a manufacturer of workwear designed for a safer, healthier and more productive work environment for women and men in industrial sectors. Our growing range of PPE products includes coveralls, bib coveralls, safety gloves, high visibility shirts, cargo pants and parkas.

We supply safety retailers, workplace retailers, science centres, industrial employers, and sell directly to consumers through our online store.
