Our Artemis Project members were represented at Exposibram, the most prestigious Brazilian mining conference held in 2023 in Belém, Pará State, in September. Exposibram gathers the different mining industry stakeholders to discuss the necessary transformations for a more productive, innovative, responsible and sustainable mineral sector. Mining companies’ decision makers, suppliers, researchers, university leaders and government representatives were together to discuss the mining industry’s future. 

Mariana Nahas (NMC Sustentabilidade Integrativa), Patrícia Procópio (New Verse Innovation), Dani Villar (Nano BizTools) and Claudia Villa Diniz were part of the conference as speakers and participants, discussing technologies to measure and value the social impact of mining projects, social licencing, innovation and gender equity and diversity on the operation sites and the value chain.

Renowned experts, representatives of the productive and government sectors, and members of the third sector were present to share their visions and experiences. Events like this not only promote the exchange of information and networking but also reinforce the vital role of mining in the economic and social scenario and strengthen the sector.
